in that moment
before now
before the
what why and how
when thoughts are an array
of discontent
when the spirit
seems tired and spent
you hear it
the silence
of that last tear falling
the wind’s whispers calling
through corridors of time
to view what you will leave behind
where you go for one last look
of this human journey you took
as child of wonder, you began to wander
in curiosity about bugs that crawled
and flew too
riding bikes
and flying kites
in between a boy and a man
you wander within to understand
which direction felt right
and you spread your wings to take flight
you traveled from Mineral Wells
to Alaska, and other roads led you to new stories
to tell
you traveled many more miles
shared so many smiles
not only loved but also well liked by many
you leave memories a plenty
your story ended way too soon
as your book closed on the dark moon
we will see you again one day
still… wish you could stay
in that moment
before now
still not knowing the why or how
may we find a moment to be content
remembering you within our hearts
as you reach heaven traveling the stars
your soul has been longing to be released
may you… Clyde… forever rest in peace
